” Color is my daylong obsession, joy and torment”
–Claude Monet
I paint for the sheer joy of seeing the world differently and continually learning new things. I’ve been a painter all of my adult life. My work reflects the places that I love to spend time – New England, Cape Cod, Florida, and travels. I work with oils now after spending years painting in watercolor. The colors are rich and the texture of the paint is wonderful to experiment with. I also work and teach at a local university – life is never boring!
My painting education has come through master artists in classes and workshops, both in Ohio and New England. I’ve been fortunate to study with Andrew Kusmin, George Shedd, Walter Chapman and most recently Anne Blair Brown. I continue to learn new things each day about art and the ways in which it can feed emotions.
